Fagunia Farmstay and Fagunia Lakeview Apartment are located in the state of Uttarakhand.

Fagunia Farmstay is located in a small hamlet called Faguniakhet in the Kumaon foothills of the Indian Himalayas at an altitude of about 5000 feet, about 4 km off the Nainital-Kaladhungi road.

Fagunia Lakeview Apartment is located near the lakeside village Khurpatal in the Kumaon foothills of the Indian Himalayas at an altitude of about 5600 feet, about 2 km off the Nainital-Kaladhungi road.

By road

Fagunia Farmstay

Fagunia Farmstay is about 275 km away from New Delhi. An early morning start from Delhi can get you here in about 6 hours of driving time without any breaks.

If you use Google Maps, just search for "Bajoon" (without the quotes) and follow the driving directions. The recommended road route is Delhi-Hapur-Moradabad Bypass-Tanda-Bazpur-Choti Haldwani-Mangoli-Bajoon. We will send you the detailed route map after booking confirmation.

Do note that the last 3 km of the route to the village is a scenic but stony and untarred rough forest road (see video and photos below for reference), which can seem scary and adventurous but is motorable and needs to be driven on with caution. SUVs, sedans and hatchbacks are fine on that forest road as long as they have decent ground clearance. Vehicles bigger than a typical SUV like Force Travellers or mini-buses cannot be driven on this forest road. We can arrange local car transfers for the forest road if required at extra cost, which will need to be paid to the local driver directly in cash.

From our village parking area, you will have to walk down a cemented village path (~500m) for about 10 mins to reach our place (please view the video below to get an idea of the distance and steepness of the path). Please note that this path is not accessible or wheelchair friendly. Our staff will help to carry down your bags. We recommend our guests bring backpacks instead of suitcases if possible.

Do note that our villa is built across multiple levels and therefore has external and internal staircases (up to one flight of stairs) to access some of the rooms/attics/dining area so if you have mobility issues then our place may not be apt for you.

Fagunia Lakeview Apartment

Fagunia Lakeview Apartment is about 285 km away from New Delhi. An early morning start from Delhi can get you here in about 6-7 hours of driving time.

If you use Google Maps, just search for "Khurpatal" (without the quotes) and follow the driving directions. The recommended road route is Delhi-Hapur-Moradabad Bypass-Tanda-Bazpur-Choti Haldwani-Mangoli-Bajoon-Khurpatal. We will send you the detailed route map after rental confirmation.

By train

The nearest railhead is Kathgodam, which is about 37 km or an hour and half drive away. There are night and day train options from New Delhi to Kathgodam and you can take a private cab from outside the Kathgodam train station. We can also arrange a train station pickup or drop.
