Fagunia Farmstay sits within Fagunia Farm, tucked away in a quiet hamlet in the lower Himalayas of the Kumaon region in Uttarakhand, India. Perched at an altitude of around 5,000 feet, we are located about 4 km off the Nainital–Kaladhungi road and roughly 15 km from Nainital town. The property is accessible by road, rail, and air—details are shared below to help you plan your journey.
From the village parking area, a short walk down of approximately 450 meters (5–10 minutes) along a cemented village path leads you to the farmstay (you may refer to the video below for a sense of the terrain and incline). Please note that this path is not wheelchair accessible. Guests with mobility concerns may find the walk challenging. We recommend packing light and using backpacks instead of suitcases for ease.
By road
Fagunia Farmstay is around 285 km from New Delhi, with a driving time of approximately 6 hours. The suggested route is Delhi–Hapur–Moradabad Bypass–Rampur Bypass–Bazpur–Choti Haldwani–Mangoli–Bajoon. Kindly avoid relying on Google Maps directions to Fagunia Farmstay, as they may not be accurate. We will share precise last-mile directions with you after your booking is confirmed.
The final 3 km stretch to the village is a picturesque yet rugged forest track that is unpaved and stony (refer to the video and photos below). While it may feel adventurous, it is motorable if navigated carefully. SUVs, sedans, and hatchbacks can manage this route provided they have reasonable ground clearance and are driven slowly. Larger vehicles such as Force Travellers or mini-buses are not suitable for this stretch. If needed, we can arrange a local vehicle for this section at an additional cost, provided we are informed in advance.
